He's almost there.

I guess you thought that my first blog would be about my kids and family. Well I'm sure there will be a lot about them in the coming days. I need to get a nice picture of them all. Although the goofy ones would probably make you laugh. Anyways, about a two months ago Flint went back to "puppy college". We just found out that he is in phase 9 out of 10. He is almost class ready, which means that he is almost ready to be placed with a blind person.

A month ago we got a new trainee. Her name is Teeva. She is a little spitfire, and a great personality. She is just beautiful and growing quickly. So far she is doing great on her training and is learning quickly.

Also about 2 weeks ago we got one of our prior trainees back. In 1998 we trained a dog named Hurley. He passed and was placed with a blind man named Ralph. Ralph passed away last month and his family could no longer care for Hurley. Guide dogs called and asked if we wanted him back. We decided that with the hard life he has had with fighting his cancer and all we wanted to welcome him home to live out the remainder of his life with us. He is 11 years old now and just has a love for life. It is a joy to have him home.
